Flavie : Bonjour, je m'appelle Flavie, j'ai vingt-huit ans, je suis française, et j'habite à Paris. 

·      Where does Flavie live?

 

Othmane : Bonjour. Je m'appelle Othmane Madiou, j'ai vingt-sept ans, et j'habite dans le Xe arrondissement de Paris. Je suis français et algérien, de nationalité. 

·      Othmane says he is French and what other nationality (en français)?

 

Violette : Alors, je m'appelle Violette, j'ai trente ans, je suis française, et je vis à Paris, mais je suis originaire d'un petit village dans le sud de la France, dans les montagnes. Je suis étudiante pendant la journée, et l'après-midi, ou la fin d'après-midi, en général, je suis professeure de français pour les étudiants étrangers.

Christophe : Bonjour. Je m'appelle Christophe, j'ai vingt-sept ans, je suis né à Lyon et je vis à Paris depuis six ans. J'y travaille en tant que consultant en stratégie dans un petit cabinet, au centre de Paris. 

 

Pauline : Bonjour, je m'appelle Pauline, j'ai vingt-huit ans, je suis française. Je suis pâtissière, j'habite à Paris depuis quelques années déjà, mais je suis originaire de Cahors, dans le Lot, dans le sud de la France. 

 

Léon : Bonjour, je m'appelle Léon, je suis parisien mais je suis né dans les Antilles françaises. Je vis à Paris depuis l'âge de vingt ans. Je travaille aujourd'hui dans une maison d'édition. Je suis journaliste, je travaille pour une revue d'art qui s'appelle Dada. 

·      Léon was the only one who didn't say his age. The others say their ages. List each person and their age.

EQ. Why is it important to learn another language.

Objective: Learn about the culture and history of Senegal, a former French colony. The island of Goree, near the capital Dakar was for centuries the principal point of departure of enslaved Africans for the Americas. Millions went through this "Door of No Return."
